Kathaine Alecse

My name is Katharine Alecse. I'm an oil painter who specializes in life-size hyperrealism. I'm based out of the UNESCO village Viscri in Transylvania, Romania.

I'm American Born from outside of Cincinnatie, Ohio. Formerly Katie Buckett and Katie Ng, I lived in London for 7 years and before that in Brooklyn NYC where I received a BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute.

My work is extremely important to my life. I celebrate light and life with every new project ranging from a renaissance style portrait to a gorilla smoking a cigar. I want to create a dreamscape where the viewer can let their mind wander free.
